Summit County Therapy was started to provide compassionate, needs-based, local therapy for people in Park City and Coalville. The founder has worked with a broad spectrum of people and is committed to find a way to help you or your loved one. No matter what problems are in your life, you have done the best you could so far. Reaching out to a professional for the first time can be the hardest and most rewarding call of your life.
During the first meeting, you and your therapist will work to figure out how a whole system of experiences has led you to where you are now, and how to best help you achieve your goals. Various therapy modalities, including trauma-informed approaches like Eye Movement Desensitization and Re-Processing (EMDR), can be used to help you overcome your past and create your future. Also used are therapies that include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, relapse prevention, and any number of other approaches that you and your therapist decide will be helpful.
At Summit County Therapy, our clients are often people who struggle with thoughts that they are 'not ______ enough' (good, strong, motivated, smart, funny, etc). Therapy will focus on learning that you are exactly where you have needed to be, and on helping you get to where you want to go.
